The MCAS Television Production program teaches students to explore the responsibilities and skills required of multiple departments of a television production, to acutely focus on one department, and to acquire skills at an employable level in that department.

During this intensive ten-week program, students will either work to produce a live sporting events or a scripted television show. If working on the live sporting event, students learn how to set up all equipment for live recording of a sporting event, stage and operate cameras, and record and broadcast the event. If working on a scripted television show, students in the program breakdown a television script, determine the script’s technical and creative requirements and execute an actual professional television production. Students learn about camera, lighting, rigging, production, wardrobe, make-up, editing, and all other departments of television production. This program has stellar employment placement rates.
